World Dance 2023 -Cultural Showcase-Family Participation- Please Respond By Feb 15

FWES PTA's annual World Dance event showcases the cultural diversity at FWES. We are looking for family participation!

For the first time since 2019, we are able to hold this event inside the building! We are looking for families to help in several ways:

(FULL- no more dance demos needed) Would you be willing to teach some dance steps from your culture? Are you a Zumba or dance instructor? We need a few families to volunteer for this! (This option will be limited to just a few demos, and is at the discretion of the World Dance Committee)

Since last year's outdoor event was such a success, we are hoping to share outdoor games from around the world at the beginning of the evening (5:30-6:30). Each game demo should last 15 minutes. We will be rotating games throughout the hour, so you will still have plenty of time to enjoy the dance.

If you are interested in sharing a game, dance, or music from your culture, please fill out the form below. We also have some volunteer needs, please indicate if you can help!

Lastly, we are looking for families to help create poster boards explaining Spring Time Holidays from around the world. Please indicate if you can help with this, or if you have international items that you can loan us for display. These items will need to be submitted by February 28th

Spring Holiday Posters- families will need to create a poster board size poster ( roughly 16x20 inches) with information about the spring holiday (traditions, significance, clothing, photographs, etc.) If you have another festival or tradition you would like to share, please select other and type your information in the box below.
