Zero Robotics is a 5-week program in which middle school students (rising 5th graders through rising 9th graders) learn to program a satellite on the International Space Station as part of a national coding competition.  This program is FREE of charge and all educators & mentors receive free training and free ongoing technical assistance from MIT.   All you need to do to get started is (1) register your school/program/team with the Innovation Learning Center by completing this application,  (2) identify a mentor or OST summer STEM educator that will engage and inspire kids from your community,  (3) create a team of 5-20 students and (4) create accounts on zerorobotics.mit.edu and start writing code for the International Space Station!

Idaho will be participating in Session II of ZR - the program will run from July 8th - August 9th  2019.  Your school/program has flexibility in terms of when and how you meet but it is suggested that you aim for 15hrs/week to ensure students are getting the best experience possible.  For more information on schedule times as well as Field Day and Finals Date, please contact Virginia Jones at jonevir2@isu.edu or 208-282-2195
