The club fee covers the cost of your Rowing NZ competition license, CRA affiliation fee, entry to all club regattas, and a contribution to repairs and maintenance of plant and equipment. Additional costs you need to budget for are accommodation, transport and food.

You will receive an invoice in early November.

Payment options:
• Payment in full by 30 November 2021 (thank you!)
• Pay $250 by 30 November 2021, and the remaining $300 by 31 January 2022
• Regular automatic payments through the season (please talk to Alex if this option works best for you)

The club organises accommodation for all regattas but the number of beds available is limited. This year the cost for a weekend regatta (2 nights) is about $100. You're welcome to organise your own accommodation.

As an Avon Rowing Club member, I will:

Be a positive role model
Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all athletes, coaches, members, supporters, and visitors
Be fair, considerate, and honest in my dealings with others
Be professional in, and take responsibility for, my actions
Comply with all relevant standards, rules, regulations, and policies
Not use obscene language
Be smokefree (including e-cigarettes and vaping) at training and events where I am representing the club
Consume alcohol in moderation, if at all, at any rowing-related events
Use social media wisely in relation to Avon Rowing Club and the sport of rowing
Never act in any way that may bring disrepute or disgrace to Avon Rowing Club or the sport of rowing.

I agree to:

Abide by the Health and Safety Guidelines and the Water Safety Code 2016 www.rowingnz.kiwi
Attend a safety briefing and Hauora workshop
Discuss any issues with the head coach or manager in the first instance
Talk through any issues with coaches and athletes off the water to avoid problems in the boat
Help maintain a functional and tidy facility for the benefit of all members
Report any damage to plant to a coach or the manager as soon as possible
Not use plant without a coach present unless they have approved independent use
Ask a coach or manager for approval before bringing non-members into the Avon Rowing Club compound

FINANCIAL
I apply to become a member of Avon Rowing Club Inc and agree to pay all subscriptions and other monies that are payable, or will be payable, as a result of becoming a member of Avon Rowing Club Inc.

I acknowledge that failure to pay fees associated with my membership will result in exclusion from rowing events.
 
GENERAL
I agree to always represent Avon Rowing Club in a positive and appropriate manner. If I have any issues I will raise them with my coach in the first instance. If the issue cannot be resolved I will discuss it with the Club Manager or a Board member.

I agree to abide by the conditions of membership for Avon Rowing Club Inc. and those of the New Zealand Rowing Association.  

I agree to abstain from any substances banned by Rowing New Zealand.

I consent for the information contained within this form to be released to the officers and coaches of the Club, to the Canterbury Rowing Association Inc., and the New Zealand Rowing Association where appropriate.

I confirm that I have read and agree to the above Code of Conduct and acknowledge that any breach by me of the Code of Conduct, or any part of it, may result in disciplinary action.

Disciplinary action may include:
• Removal from crews
• Club membership revoked
• Removal from all Avon Rowing Club social media and email contacts
• Meeting with the Avon Board
