GCUFF is looking for outstanding volunteers to help us deliver our 2023 festival! This year our theme is: ‘AfroFuturism: 2.0’. GCUFF’s success is due in large part to our volunteers, so we're looking for ambitious and professional people with a can-do attitude. If that sounds like you, we'd love for you to lend a hand at our 12th Annual Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival. Please complete this form for 2023 even if you've volunteered in the past.

As a GCUFF volunteer, you can:

Ensure festival-goers have an enjoyable experience
Put your skills to good use and learn new ones
Meet and mingle with others in the cultural arts community

Volunteers are needed to work in a variety of positions during the 8-day festival, Sept 14-22. Most of the opportunities will be at the in-person theater screenings over the weekend of Sept 15-17 .

We're asking for a commitment of 3 - 4 hours each shift. Volunteers will receive a GCUFF Tee shirt, 2 free tickets to film screenings for personal use and a special BOGO discount for family and friends. (valid Fri, Sat, & Sun only. some restrictions apply)

All new and returning 2023 volunteers will be required to attend a 1-hour mandatory session for orientation:

GCUFF Volunteer Policy

As a volunteer of this organization, I understand that I may have access to confidential information, both verbal and written, relating to film makers, films, passwords, judging procedures, and financial information all associated with the Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival .

I understand, and agree, that all such information is to be treated confidentially and discussed only within the boundaries of my volunteer position at this organization. I also agree not to discuss these same matters after I have left my volunteer position at this organization. I further understand that breach of this agreement shall constitute grounds for and may result in termination of my volunteer status with this organization.

As a volunteer of the Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival, I understand that I am not an employee and that I will not receive any compensation for the donation of my time and work performed for the event. I hereby acknowledge that my services shall be rendered solely on a volunteer basis. Furthermore, I understand that the Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival does not cover me by any insurance such as worker’s compensation, etc. in the event of illness or injury.
