This June 21st to 22nd, the Pocket Gamer Connects team are partnering with the Dubai Economy & Tourism department (DET) to bring the global games industry an unmissable conference experience in the glorious city of Dubai, part of the fastest growing region of the international games industry.
The GameExpo Summit powered by PG Connects will take place over two days alongside the larger GameExpo event at the hub of sustainability and innovation, Expo City Dubai. The summit itself will feature more than 100 renowned games industry speakers from all over the globe delivering insightful talks, panels and seminars across a number of themed tracks.
Of course, this also means we're taking the Big Indie Pitch to Dubai for the first time ever, as our unique speed dating format gives each developer 5 minutes (including Q&A) with each room of expert judges, meaning entrants will get feedback in real-time and post-event via email too. Think speed-dating for developers and experts, and you get the idea.
That's not all though, as the top three will also be interviewed and get editorial coverage across Steel Media's, making this a great chance to get you, your studio and your game played by the world. There's also free tickets and event space at a future Pocket Gamer Connects up for grabs to the winner too.
The deadline to submit your game is midnight on Friday 9th June 2023.

The basic criteria:
You can pitch games for Mobile and AR in the Mobile Pitch, or Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Mac and Linux in the PC+Console Pitch
You can pitch your game even if you’ve pitched it at a previous BIP
We prefer to see unreleased games, though we’re happy to see games that are out too
We allow studios with a max of 12 members to enter the Big Indie Pitch (this includes the staff of any partners you are working with)
All submissions will be notified if they are successful in their application to pitch at the event. Please note that all entrants must be able to attend the event and Steel Media will not cover costs associated with being a part of the event.
