ENGLISH SPEAKING NATION: TEACHER LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM (ESN:TLT)

Dear Educator,

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. American Councils for International Education is collecting survey responses from teachers like you to understand what teacher leadership looks like in Uzbekistan.

Your responses to this survey will contribute to the thoughtful planning and delivery of the trainings for English Speaking Nation: Teacher Leadership Training Program (ESN:TLT). This program is sponsored by the Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan and implemented by American Councils for International Education in partnership with the Ministry of Pre-school and school Education of Uzbekistan, and TESOL International Association (TESOL).

We are so appreciative of your willingness to complete this survey. Your professional opinions regarding Uzbekistan’s educational practices and experiences are valuable for the success of ESN:TLT program. Please feel free to be completely open and honest. There are no right or wrong answers, and your responses will be anonymous. You may be assured of complete confidentiality. All person-identifiable data will be coded so that individuals cannot be identified by anyone outside of the immediate staff of American Councils and TESOL experts. We will not use any names in our reports. The reports will only be used to help us plan a quality Teacher Leadership professional development (training) program.

ESN:TLT is a program that offers an integrated professional development opportunity for the U.S. Embassy program alumni including the ESN: STT and ESN:ELDP program alumni to improve their teacher leadership skills and to prepare them to design and deliver professional development programs for 1000 teacher trainers. During the next two years, the program will build teacher leaders capacity in Uzbekistan through a phased implementation of a rigorous training program designed and conducted by TESOL in program’s phase one and through alumni grants. The ESN:TLT needs assessment phase includes a review of current teacher leadership and teacher leaders’ professional development practices. TESOL experts will use the survey responses to develop training courses and materials that closely address the needs of in-service teacher leaders and teacher trainers in Uzbekistan.

We thank you in advance for completing this survey.
