r/Vexillology Design Contest Survey - 2022
The mods of r/Vexillology are looking to see what the wider community thinks of the monthly design contest. We want to know what people would like to see less/more of in 2022 and beyond. Answering as many of these questions as possible will help us with that. The only people who will see the results are the contest mods. This survey was drafted by VertigoOne with consulting assistance from the wider body of mods.

Q5 - Do you prefer abstract or concrete prompt ideas? Abstract: Flags for things that don't normally use flags (genres of music, academic disciplines, programming languages etc). Concrete: Flags for things that regularly/normally use flags (places, causes, nations, regions, towns etc)

Q6 - Do you have a preference for contests with lots of options of things you can design for (EG - Design a contest for a mythical place - with dozens of possible places to choose from) or do you like a contest with a narrower focus (EG - Design a new flag for the USA)

Q7 - Do you like the challenge of having contests where there are specific design restrictions (use/avoid specific colours etc) or do you prefer having a complexly free hand?
