2023 SYIS Career Development Award Application

The SYIS Career Development Award will be granted to students or young investigators working in Latin American countries who have demonstrated outstanding scientific achievements. The award will provide a certificate and a $1,000 travel stipend for the TERMIS-AM conference. Thank you to our sponsors, Science Translational Medicine/AAAS and Scintica, for supporting this award!

Applications are due Monday, March 20th (deadline extended)

Eligibility:
1. Candidates must be students or young investigators (< 5 years from terminal degree completion) currently working in Mexico, Central America, or South America*. Students or young investigators working in Canada or the United States are not eligible for this award and may alternatively apply to the TERMIS-AM Travel Awards: https://form.jotform.com/230175154520143.

2. Candidates must have an abstract accepted to TERMIS-AM. Candidates submitting late-breaking abstracts are eligible, but they must provide proof of their submission before applying to this award.

3. Attendance at the meeting is required to obtain the award.
