Mindset plays a crucial role in shaping individuals’ attitudes toward life and their willingness to work toward their goals. In education, discussions about mindset often focus on learners. Students with a fixed mindset believe their abilities are unchangeable, which can hinder their willingness to engage with challenging material. In contrast, students with a growth mindset recognize that their abilities can improve through effort and persistence. However, educators' mindsets are just as important. If teachers perceive their students as incapable, unmotivated, or resistant to feedback, these assumptions can negatively impact the learning environment. Effective teaching requires educators to adopt a growth mindset themselves, fostering a classroom culture where both teachers and students believe in the potential for growth and success.
