The Softball Queensland Volunteer of the Year Award may be awarded to any person who has made a significant contribution to the sport over the previous twelve-month period. The contribution made by the Softball Queensland Volunteer of the Year recipient must be of such standards of excellence to have set themselves apart from their peers so as to warrant them becoming the recipient of this award and should be for service over and above any role or position (volunteer i.e. administrator, coach, official, grounds person, fundraiser) they may hold in a given twelve month period.

• The level of contribution over the period;
•  Achievements over the period; and
• Significance of those achievements.
