Peer Mentors provide live-in academically focused leadership, support, and activities to UCSC students that live onsite and offsite during the Summer Session. They work closely with other Peer Mentors and residential life staff in their specific residence hall areas, and they are part of a larger staff team working collaboratively to support students. The position demands maturity, responsibility, dedication, and a person of strong academic standing. Peer Mentors plan and implement educational, social, and multicultural events for their "Mentees", and they are responsible for upholding the UCSC Principles of Community.  Finally, Peer Mentors act as personal, social, and academic advisers, while being an on-campus or off-campus resource throughout the years to come.
