RSVP - Facilitating Transformative Dialogue: Building Inclusion through Meaningful Engagement across Differences
Friday, March 6, 2020
9:30 am - 12:00 pm
Argyros Forum 209A
Chapman University

The vigorous debate of ideas is central to the intellectual mission and legacy of the university, and yet debate often serves to reinforce deep divisions within learning communities. This workshop will invite participants to learn about and practice dialogue as a distinct framework for engagement across differences. Dialogue will be explored as a tool for enhancing learning, strengthening relationships, and fostering social healing within diverse communities. This workshop will be led by Alan Goff, PhD Student Researcher, Urban Schooling, at the UCLA Graduate School of Education & Information Studies. Sponsored by the Office of Diversity & Inclusion.
