AGS Potential Project Intake Information
You are receiving this intake form because you have requested that goats work on your property or in your community at some point in the past. If you would still like to be considered, please take a few moments to respond to the information below. We have an extensive waiting list; your project will be considered in the order in which you initially sent in a request, provided this is sent back in a timely manner. Please note that the minimum cost per project is $500 regardless of size, and we price our projects up to $3,000 per acre on a proportionally-sized scale. For reference, one full acre typically takes two weeks to complete. If you have more questions, we encourage you to check out our F.A.Q. web page.

Your Name *
What County is your potential project located in? *
At this time, Allegheny GoatScape only provides services to private projects within Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. Public or institutional projects outside of Allegheny County may be considered on a limited basis, but daily care from you/ your staff/volunteers (that our staff will train) and good communication with our staff is essential in order to be considered for a non-Allegheny County project.
Is your project on public, private or institutional land? *
Who is the owner of the property? *
What is the address of your potential project? *
If known, what is the lot and block number of the property?
What is the size of the area you. need addressed goats address, in square footage or acreage? *
Please only consider the area of the vegetation you would like addressed.
What is the primary type(s) of vegetation in your proposed project?
You may select more than one type of vegetation
If you are unsure of the type of plants, please describe the vegetation to the best of your ability.
Please know that goats are not good "mowers;" they will eat a little bit of grass, but not in a uniform way. They prefer woodier plants and are best served to address vines, bushes and forbs. Goats are considered browsers, not grazers, much like deer in this way.
Are you aware of any of the following vegetation in your proposed area?: Milkweed, Poison hemlock, water hemlock, Yew, Rhododendron or Mountain Laurel *
These plants are highly toxic and can kill goats if ingested. If any of these make up a significant portion of the landscape vegetation, at our discretion, we may need to pass on this potential project.
Required
If you answered yes or unsure in the previous questions, please provide a description of the vegetation. Let us know if you think an area can be worked around if there are dense populations of the plants mentioned above.
Describe the topography of the space. *
Are any of the following amenities on site?
Do you have a map or photo of the space you would like us to consider? Though not essential at this time, it is helpful for us to get an initial picture of your space. If you do have a map and/or photo you are able to share, please send it to info@alleghenygoatscape.org with your name and "property" in the title, along with anything else you would like us to know.
Clear selection
Do you have a management plan, or long term goals for your landscape? *
If you don't have a management plan, would you like one created for you? This would be meant to serve as a general guide to continue to improve your landscape, such as best vegetation to plant. Allegheny GoatScape may be able to provide one for you for an extra cost. *
What is the best way to follow up with you? *
Please provide the email or phone number (or both) to follow up with you.
Is there anything else you would like us to know at this time?
