Common Safety Mistakes
Common safety mistakes account for a large number of avoidable injuries every year.
Common causes are:

Lack of housekeeping - congested or cluttered work areas increase the likelihood of injury from falls, trips and strains. Workers should maintain clean work areas and access points.

Not using lock out/ tag out for damaged tools or work materials. Using a damaged ladder, electrical cord or power tool greatly increases the likelihood of suffering a catastrophic injury. Damaged tools should be red tagged and removed from service immediately. Damaged tools must be reported to the site CSO.
