Hello! Thank you for your interest in our growing conservation program. We are excited to build this program and initiative with you, our BIPOC community, as we work toward creating the change we want to see in this movement. We are currently looking for co-facilitators for our monthly community meetings. Meetings take place on the last Thursday of each month, and can either be in workshop/lecture form, or in an outdoor experiential form, like a hike or nature outing. The meetings range from 1-3 hours long, and transportation is sometimes, but not always provided by WD. We pay for dinner, beverages, snacks for the entire group, and a speaker's fee is also paid to our co-facilitator. Average attendance ranges from 8-10 people, but often times up to 20 people will rsvp.
This is a wonderful opportunity to empower our BIPOC leaders and emerging leaders working in conservation to share their expertise, knowledge, wisdom and perspective with our community. We are focused on supporting BIPOC-led learning, and conservation leadership. Meetings are casual, open, honest, and provide a wonderful connection setting for attendees that so often feel isolation in white dominant work spaces.
