I have read and understand the CCA Chromebook Student Expectations Handbook 2023-2024 *

I understand that my student will not be assigned a CCA-Owned Chromebook unless I complete both CCSD Mandatory Forms. “Internet & Network Resources Acceptable Use Waiver.” and “Student Accounts, Terms of Service, & Children’s Online Privacy and Protection Act (COPPA) Acknowledgment." Parent/guardian agreement forms are within your my.cherrycreekschools.org account. *

I understood the "Student Responsibilities and Chromebook Care" section stating that sole responsibility for the care of the Chromebook rests with that individual. Failure to follow the user procedures will result in school disciplinary action or legal action. The school district may deny, revoke or suspend access to district technology or close accounts. *

I understood the “Returning Chromebook” section stating students must return the Chromebook before May 25, 2024. If a student knows that they will miss the last week of school, they must make arrangements for device check-in. The Technology Support Specialist will inspect all CCA-Owned devices during the summer of each school year and then generate a technology invoice if the Chromebook is not in good working order or with physical damage. The Support Specialist issues all tech invoices to the email and address provided on the parent/guardians PowerSchool. If a student fails to return the CCA-Owned Chromebook, CCA will file a police report with the Arapahoe County Police Department. *

By checking "Agree," I acknowledge that I am the parent/guardian of the above-named minor and grant this student permission to access school computer hardware. I have read and understand the school and district guidelines and agree to abide by them. I further understand that any violation of these school and district rules is unethical and may constitute a violation of the law. Should I commit any offense, I will be responsible for the payment of damages and repairs. I may face disciplinary action including, but not limited to, loss of access privileges, suspension, expulsion, or dismissal. I also understand that CCA may pursue legal action. *

By checking "Agree", as the parent/guardian of this student, I have read the school and district’s guidelines concerning the use of district computer networks. However, I also recognize the school and district can't restrict access to all controversial materials, and I will not hold the school, district, or its employees responsible for materials acquired on the Internet. I also understand that I am financially responsible for my child’s actions should those actions damage school resources and materials obtained on the Internet. I permit my child to use the networked computer system, including filtered Internet access. *
