We are thrilled to announce that registration is now OPEN for the inaugural BDCI Summit! This exciting event is presented in partnership with the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research (SVPR) as another next installment in their "Constructive Collisions" series: Constructive Collisions at the Chemistry-Biology Interface.

Constructive Collisions is an event series that promotes cross-disciplinary collaborations among Emory faculty, researchers, and external partners. This installment, which will take place on Monday, March 7th at the Emory Conference Center, will feature the following events:
 
Lightning talks from Emory faculty: Gain perspective on the breadth of research happening within the BDCI community and identify potential points of collaboration

Group Brainstorming + Pitch Session (Topic: Driving Innovation in Precision Medicine): Collaborate and brainstorm innovative project ideas that can lead to extramural funding. This session will culminate with each team pitching a real seed project, with up to two teams receiving small, on-the-spot funding to support new collaborations focused on innovative approaches in precision medicine ($5k/person, up to $15k/team). Details on pitch requirements and instructions will be provided in the coming weeks; however, no advance preparation is required for participation.

*Due to space restrictions, priority registration will be given to Emory faculty.

*We are closely monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions and will take all necessary steps and precautions to ensure a safe event. Masks will be required at all times during presentations and discussion sessions. Weather permitting, we will hold all meals, coffee breaks, and social times outdoors.
