The Home School Council (HSC) stands as the “voice” for ALL of the parents in the Community Charter School of Paterson. The Home School Council advocates for the students and the school elects CCSP parents to sit on the School Site Council, raises funds to support school activities, takes a leadership role in promoting parent engagement at CCSP, and promotes an environment of understanding and common purpose among parents and teachers. HSC President - will be responsible for being the head of HSC at CCSP. The president will attend all meetings and also help facilitate the meetings. In the case of any school event, the HSC President will speak to the members. Work with HSC Treasure on fundraising initiatives.

HSC Vice President - will be second in command case of the absence of the HSC president at HSC meeting or given event.The HSC Vice-president will step in to conduct meeting. Will help out pass flyers for parents at least 1 day on hsc meeting week.

HSC Treasure - Will meet with Director of Community Schools/Craig Smith to review current funds in hsc account monthly. The treasurer will also help with coordinating fundraisers.

HSC Secretary - will be responsible writing down questions/Make slides power point presented at the meeting, make phone calls, make hsc list, make flyers for hsc meeting, track attendance/update document where parents can see their points
