Class description:
Learn to make an apron using a sewing machine. Students will learn the basics of a sewing machine, how to cut out a pattern, and use bias tape. They will decorate their apron and make other small crafts.

Class Title: Chess Club

Class description:
Chess club will feature several aspects of chess play. Learn the basic rules and strategies of chess, the history of the game, and tips for more advanced play. This series will culminate with a tournament on the final day of the program. Learn strategies that will help you, not only in chess, but in school and other games.

Class Title: Legos and Board Game Adventures!

Class description:
Come and have fun playing board games with your friends! Choose from Monopoly, Life, Clue, Nok Hockey, Speed Stackers, Twister, Sorry, Scrabble and Legos. Play a different game each week and just have fun!

Class Title: Outdoor Adventures!

Class description:
Come join us for hikes in the woods around EWS! Maybe we’ll find where a deer has rubbed it’s antlers on a tree. We’ll learn to identify different tracks in the snow and mud. Whether there is snow or no snow, we will make our own kind of fun. Don’t forget your boots, hats, mittens, and snowpants.

Class Title: Science Club

Class description: We will explore and implement the seven steps of the scientific method using simple ingredients found in the average household. We will create things like lava lamps, dancing corn, and have a slime competition! Students will follow instructions, use their observation skills, and make adaptations, all while having fun!
