2024-2025 Kindergarten Registration
We are excited for the opportunity to serve your child in one of our Unicoi County Schools Kindergarten classes.

We are in the beginning phases of gathering information for students entering Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year. We will plan additional registration phases to complete your child's Kindergarten registration. 

Your child must be 5 years old on or before August 15, 2024 in order to meet the age requirement to enter Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year.

We have created a Google registration form for you to complete.  This information will help us begin the first step in the Kindergarten Registration process.

When filling out the Google registration form, we ask that you please choose the school your child is zoned to attend based on the physical address that you and your child currently reside. *You will need to provide proof of residency by one of the following forms: recent gas, electric, water, cable or landline phone bill*

The following school attendance areas have been established by the Unicoi County Board of Education:

Temple Hill Elementary attendance area includes:
  • Areas south of Jackson Love Highway beginning at the railroad trestle bridge 
  • Temple Hill Road area south to the North Carolina state line
  • Chestoa Pike area south of Bailey Circle to Unaka Springs Road and Jones Branch Road areas
  • Sandy Bottom Road area
  • Coffee Ridge area
NOT included inTemple Hill Elementary School attendance area: 
  • Bailey Circle
  • Love Station Road area
  • Hilemon Ranch Road area

Love Chapel Elementary attendance area includes:
  • Jackson Love Highway area north of the railroad trestle bridge to Love Street 
  • Chestoa Pike area north of and including Bailey Circle
  • Love Station Road area
  • Hilemon Ranch Road area 
  • Canah Chapel area
  • South Main Avenue area
NOT included in Love Chapel Elementary attendance area:
  • Love Street (both sides)
  • North Main Avenue area

Rock Creek Elementary attendance area includes:
  • Love Street (both sides) areas north to Tenth Street (Rock Creek Road) areas
  • North Main Avenue area north to Tenth Street
NOT included in Rock Creek Elementary attendance area: 
  • Jackson Avenue area
  • Railroad Street area and all streets that feed into Railroad Street

Unicoi Elementary attendance area includes: 
  • Areas north of Tenth Street (Rock Creek Road) 
  • Jackson Avenue area
  • Railroad Street area and all streets that feed into Railroad Street
NOT included in Unicoi Elementary attendance area: 
  • Tenth Street (Rock Creek Road) areas

Hardship request forms are available at the Unicoi County Board of Education front office.

As we work to plan the next phase of registration we ask that you begin gathering the following documents needed to complete your child's enrollment:

Birth Certificate or officially acceptable evidence of date of birth (please note - mother’s copy is not an official vital record/birth certificate)
If your child was born in the state of Tennessee you can obtain an official birth certificate at the Unicoi County Health Department.

Physical - 5 year old well child check (must be dated on or after August 1, 2023)

Immunization Record (must be up to date for entering Kindergarten and on an official Tennessee Immunization Certificate) You can obtain this from your child’s healthcare provider or the Unicoi County Health Department

Proof of residency in Unicoi County (a current electric, water, cable or gas bill)

Custody agreement - if applicable

Please do not submit multiple forms. You will receive an email verifying your submission. 

You will receive an additional email after March 11, 2024 containing information on the next steps in completing your child's registration.
