Golden Thread, O.T.O.
Golden Thread will be hosting Initiation Training on March 9th & 10th!
The I.T. curriculum aims to:
- To standardize practices of the Man of Earth initiations.
- To communicate best practices and procedures.
- To train side officers and acquaint them with U.S.G.L. standards and initiator expectations.
- To give initiators feedback on their current practices.
- To communicate U.S.G.L. policies pertaining to the safe and effective conduct of initiations.
Saturday, March 9th:
- 10:00 am: Introductions, overview, & goals
- 10:30: Minerval degree standards and procedures with walk through
- 12:00: Lunch (provided)
- 1:00: First degree standards and procedures with walk through
- 3:00: Second degree standards and procedures with walk through
- 5:00: Dinner (on your own)
- 6:00: Social
Sunday, March 10th:
- 10:00 am: Third degree standards and procedures with walk through.
- 12:00: Lunch (provided)
- 1:00: Discussion of best practices, Q & A
- 2:00: Exemplifications
Members of the appropriate degree are welcome to attend up to their degree. Ex: a first degree member may attend through the I° training and will be dismissed before II° training. A II° member may attend all of day 1, but not day 2.
Admission cost is $50 for both days, or $30 for day 1 (either whole or in part).
Note that only the full training (attendance for all sessions on both days) fulfills the prerequisite for a Charter application or Advanced Initiation Training attendance.
Limited hospitality is available on a first-come first serve basis.
Deadline for registration is March 3rd.
