Elementary Student Placement Audit 2020-21

As we make final preparations for school, we are asking each family to provide your current thinking on instruction for 2020-21. Petaluma City Schools is offering two options this year in grades TK-6 for student consideration and placement:

    a. Distance Learning Only Instruction
    b. Hybrid In-Person Instruction

Each instructional platform is defined below:

A) Distance Learning Only Instruction: While other students may be returning to school for on-campus instruction, Distance Learning only students would continue to receive instruction in the Distance Learning format. Students would have a combination of online meetings with their teacher and working independently.

B) Hybrid In-Person Instruction:  Students would receive a combination of in-person instruction with social distancing and Distance Learning. The students will attend school in smaller cohort groups. One cohort group will attend for 2.5 hours in AM and the other cohort group will attend for 2.5 hours in the PM. Some instructional time will also need to be completed independently at home.

Information gathered will be used to ensure alignment of parent/student needs with District resources.  The opportunity to change any student/family preference will be available during the course of the year.
