Late Pick up Tracking 2023-2024

Procedure NHH will take in the event a parent is late to pick up their student(s).

NHH staff will allow a 10 minute grace period after the normal pick up time is scheduled.

After 10 minutes, NHH staff will reach out to the parent for an update on when they will arrive if they have not heard from them yet. Depending on what NHH staff hears back from the parent will determine the next steps and the staff member has the ability to move through the next steps at their own discretion depending on the circumstances.

After 20 minutes of a parent being late the NHH staff member will contact their immediate supervisor to let them know there is a parent who is late.

After 30 minutes of being late, the NHH staff member will contact the students emergency contacts to pick them up. If/when an emergency contact is scheduled to pick up the students the staff member will attempt to contact the parent to let them know. The staff member will also update their immediate supervisor.

If an emergency contact is unable to pick up the student, NHH staff will contact the Azusa Police Department to seek advice and help in the situation. The NHH staff member will attempt to update the parent and also update their immediate supervisor.

The NHH staff member will complete an incident report to record the details of the late parent.
