This science-based program for GRADES 6 to 12, started in June 2016 and attracts students from around The Bahamas. It focuses on all aspects of BAMSI in particular the agricultural and marine resources in connection with food production and environmental stewardship in The Bahamas. We are committed to addressing the issues of food security through capacity building in the agriculture and fishing industries, by helping young Bahamians understand the connections between science, food and overall welfare of our Nation. Our hands-on fun approach to teaching and learning is key to the success of this program.

PHOTO CONSENT AND RELEASE. I grant to The Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute (BAMSI), the right to use and post the videos (and photographs) of my child in connection with the Summer Education Enhancement Discovery Series and allow the (videos) and photos of my child to be used with or without my name and for any lawful purpose to publicize, advertise and publish content in print and website.

SEEDS Camp Liability Waiver:  I hereby give consent for my child to participate in BAMSI SEEDS camp on the campus of The Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute from June 24 to June 28, 2024. I release BAMSI SEEDS camp the right to use photos of the camper engaging in camp activities on social media platforms, in print and website. I also authorize BAMSI SEEDS camp to seek and consent for medical treatment for my child/camper in an emergency situation. I also authorize the same representation be allowed to consent for medical treatment in non-emergency situations when I or the emergency contact is unable to be reached by phone. Further, I am aware that participating in SEEDS Camp has some inherent risks, including contracting or exposure to COVID-19, sustaining physical injuries, property damage or wrongful death. I hereby agree to release BAMSI SEEDS camp and its instructors from all liabilities for injuries sustained while participating in SEEDS camp activities or any exposure to COVID-19. I further advise that to my knowledge, my child/camper has no health problems or pre-existing conditions, not previously mentioned, that limit his/her ability to participate in training or negatively affects their activity level. I also agree to inform camp administrators, instructors if my child/camper is exposed to COVID-19, or if anyone with whom the child/camper lives or closely interacts with is exposed to COVID-19. I am also aware that should the child/camper have exposure to COVID-19, SEEDS camp reserves the right to dismiss the camper in order to protect the health of other camp participants and its instructors. I do for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators or assigns agree that in the event any claim for personal injury, property damage or wrongful death is brought against BAMSI, I shall indemnify and hold the released parties harmless from any and all claims or cause of actions by whomever or whenever made or presented for personal injuries, property damage or wrongful death. I have carefully read this agreement and fully understand its contents. I am aware that it is a complete release of liability and a contract between myself and BAMSI SEEDS Program. I have discussed all of the above and my parent/guardian agrees and accepts the terms of this waiver. *
This is to certify that I, as a parent/guardian with legal responsibility for this participant, do consent and agree to his/her release as provided above of all Releases and, for myself, my child, all heirs, assigns, and next of kin. I release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the involvement or participation in BAMSI all terrestrial and marine field activities. Even if arising from the negligence of the releases, to the fullest extend permitted by the law.. I have discussed all of the above and my Child understands, agrees and accepts the terms of this waiver. *
