IHS, located at 102 King St W in Kitchener, is a paid employment training program for cis or trans women and gender-diverse people ages 15-30, where you will learn employment-related skills, develop life skills, build your digital literacy and receive support to secure employment.
This is the first step in the application process to be considered for the program.
Eligibility:
- Cis, trans women and gender-diverse people between the ages of 15-30.
- A Canadian citizen, or permanent resident or a protected person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act;
- Legally entitled to work in Canada;
- Not currently enrolled in school or a training program
- Not currently employed
- In accordance with funding requirements, priority in hiring will be given to youth facing barriers to finding and keeping employment.
