What does it mean to support a family? It is not a trivial thing. It is a real commitment to lift another family in need. If you choose to support a family you are given an anonymous wish list. Each list comes with children's clothes sizes and a few gift ideas. Our goal for each child is:

- At least one outfit (pants and shirt)
- Shoes, if possible
- At least one gift, or "wish" item, from their list
- For the parents, sometimes they ask for household items
- Also, please include grocery, Target or Walmart gift cards for them to buy food for the holidays.

How much can I expect to spend? We guesstimate you will spend around $125 per child. For the parents' household requests and gift cards, that would be another $100- $125 combined. We have families with a single child up to several children.

Is it possible for my office/book club/neighborhood group to adopt one or more families? Absolutely! We see this all the time. It's a great way to share the holiday spirit of giving with others and build community. Just let us know what you can do, and we'll connect you with a family (or families) that will fit your needs.

All items will be collected at the Poway Adult School December 4-8th.
