22nd HKPTU Debating Competition
To register for the 22nd HKPTU Debating Competition for the 2020/21 school year, please complete the form below and click 'Send form'.  This form is for the Secondary Competition. For the primary competition, e-mail hkptudebating@gmail.com 

Registrations are open until 26th September 2020 for Forms 1 – 5, but close on Saturday 18th September for Form 6.

Important: If you are entering more than one DIVISION, fill in one form for each division.

By completing and sending this form your school principal, coaches and participating students:
1. agree to enter the competition and abide by the rules and regulations as set out in the Debating Handbook and the Procedures Manual, downloadable at www.hkptu.org/debating and modifications to these rules to enable online submission of debate speech videos when face-to-face competition is deemed inappropriate due to prevailing pandemic or social situation.
2. agree that the HKPTU may make modifications to arrangements and rules during the competition.
3. authorize any video taking or photos taken during debating events to be used by the HKPTU for training, future event promotion, publication or other education-related purposes.
4. authorize the HKPTU to use information on your registration form for contact about the current and future Competitions and other related activities (for example, professional development and educational opportunities).

Please note that regular communications about the competition will be sent to the e-mail address(es) you provide below.  These communications will continue until registrations close for the following year's competition.  Occasional e-mails may be sent to the school e-mail address, coach's e-mail address, adjudicators' e-mail addresses or other e-mail addresses provided. Mobile phone numbers will be used for regular communications, including, in some instances, setting up Whats App groups to facilitate these communications and the running of the competition.
