Student Council, or StuCo for short, is a group of students who want to  be active in their community and work to improve their school. Students who want to be a part of StuCo will need to fill out the application, have 2 teachers fill out a recommendation form, and have 10 peers sign a petition supporting your application. You will turn in your application and the petition. Your teachers will return the recommendation forms directly to me.

We have several blood drives a year, and we must continue to grow these each year! More units of blood/more givers= more scholarship money for us! We also go to the Kaskaskia District convention- a fun day for us to network with area student council members. We also run several fundraisers throughout the year that give us money to do more fun things, but is also a great way to help our community. Some of those fundraisers include the Crush Soda Sales at Valentine’s Day and the  Easter Egg Hide at Easter. We can always do more as the council decides.

StuCo looks great on college applications and job resumes and counts towards community service hours. Make the choice to be a part of something bigger than yourself this coming school year!
