Please use this form to sign up for our Lake District trip, based in  YHA Coniston Coppermines from 22-26 August 2024 – whether you would like accommodation in the hostel or prefer to stay elsewhere.

How much of the trip will you be attending?

There will be three full days of walking plus a possible short walk on the Monday.

What kind of walks are you looking for?

To help with planning walks, please select the types of walks you're looking for. Please note, we can't guarantee that there will be options of all kinds on every day unless you're offering to lead them – however, we are intending to have multiple walk leaders which should enable a variety of walks or activities for most days

How much experience do you have walking in the mountains?

No previous mountain experience is required for this trip, but it's helpful to know the level of experience we have in the group when planning.

This is relevant both for communal cooking in the hostel, and if we organise a meal out together one evening.

We'll get in touch as soon as possible to let you know if a suitable space is available for you. If a space is available, we'll then ask for payment of the deposit at that point to confirm it.

If we cook communally in the hostel on most nights, will you take part or do your own thing?

The cost of this will be divided between all those taking part, in addition to the accommodation cost above, but usually works out to be very good value. (It's likely to be less than £15 each for a trip of this length).

How do you plan on getting to Coniston?

At the moment, this is just to get an idea of how people are travelling, and how many cars might be available, and not committing you to anything.

Given that the trip is designed to be accessible by train, we can't guarantee that there'll necessarily be a lift available – though we'll do our best to match you up with a driver if you ask for one.
