DAT Subject Specialist Volunteer Application
The Dictionary Working Group (DWG) with the Society of American Archivists (SAA) is looking for subject specialists who want to contribute by working on a term or a set of terms. We recognize that there are holes in the Dictionary of Archives Terminology (DAT) and we want to plug them. (We are defining “subject specialist” VERY broadly. Your specialty may be archives in all senses, or may be very specific. Either way, we would love to have you help us continue to develop the DAT.)

Under the direction of the members of the working group, individuals or groups will provide definitions and citations. We would then work with you as we put the entries into the DAT style to make sure that meaning is not lost.

If you or your group is interested in contributing to the DAT as a subject specialist, please complete the form below. A member of DWG will contact you about how to get started.

All volunteers working on the DAT will need to sign the Contributor Agreement Form at https://www2.archivists.org/sites/all/files/ContributorAgreement-SAA-DAT-09162021_0.pdf.
