School Safety Training for LEAs - March 2024
Objectives of Training:

1. Gain an awareness of the relevant legislation in Iowa pertaining to high-quality emergency operations plan and threats of violence and review district professional learning plans for implementation 

2. Obtain knowledge related to the appropriate actions to take during a violent intruder or other potentially violent situation

3. Build confidence in responding to a violent intruder situation by engaging in a simulation to apply skills and techniques

**Participants should be aware that the content of this training will include the use of simulated weapons and real life situations related to violent intruder situations. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing.
