ISLA Fall Planning Questionnaire
Hola!
We are planning what a return to school for students and staff will look like at ISLA this fall. Since school got out, we have been planning and exploring the feasibility for three different scenarios--full return, full distance learning, and a hybrid of both. Current federal and Minnesota state guidance is not prescriptive at this time, but it is important for us to plan for all the different contingencies.
Full In Person Learning: In this scenario, students would transition back to in-person classroom settings. We would create as much space between students and teachers as is feasible, but we would not be able to strictly enforce 6 feet of social distancing at all times. We would undertake a number of safety measures, including additional sanitizing, PPE for staff, and infrastructure and programming changes.
Hybrid Model: In this scenario, there be a combination of in-person learning and distance learning at home. During in-person learning, we would create as much space between students and teachers as is feasible, but we would not be able to strictly enforce 6 feet of social distancing at all times. We would undertake a number of safety measures, including additional sanitizing, PPE for staff, and infrastructure and programming changes.
Full Distance Learning: This scenario would look very much like our instruction did in the spring, with a few enhancements and improvements based on our analysis at the end of the year.
Could you please take a few minutes to complete this survey regarding your thoughts and concerns regarding schools reopening in the fall? Please clarify in the comments section, or in "other" if your answers differ based on the grade level/age of your ISLA students.
We miss having your ISLA student(s) here so much; indeed, the school feels lonely and cold without them, even in the middle of this heat wave. Regardless about what is decided about learning in the state this fall, please know that we will make the 2020-2021 school year a great experience for all of our students.
Gracias!!
