AOASM 2023: Call for Case Presentations
The Program Committee of the 38th Annual Clinical Conference of the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine invites you to submit a case presentation for the 2023 AOASM Clinical Conference scheduled for April 26-29, 2023. This Google Form will serve as your case presentation abstract submission form.

All case presentation abstracts must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. PT on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. Submissions received after this deadline will not be accepted.

The case presentations should be complex cases, which involve complications or uncommon diagnoses in the specialty of Sports Medicine. They can also be presented as unusual or uncommon presentations or treatment courses of a more common injury or pathologic process. To be considered for presentation, the abstract must discuss the case history, physical exam, osteopathic exam/considerations, differential diagnosis, tests ordered/performed, final working diagnosis, treatment (including osteopathic manual treatment), outcome/follow up, and return to activity. Case abstract submissions must be less than 500 words, excluding submission title.

Case presentations may be either presented as a podium presentation or as a poster presentation. By submitting your case, you agree to present it in the format chosen by the Case Presentation Review Committee. Please indicate on this form which type of presentation you prefer. Please keep in mind, by checking one of these boxes, it is only a preference.  We encourage you to present in the format assigned by the Case Presentation Review Committee.

All case presentation abstract submissions will be blinded in regard to authors' names and affiliated institutions to the Review Committee.  At this time, we only accept submissions from anyone currently in, or having previously completed, post-graduate school.

The case abstract must not have been published as an abstract or as a full paper in a scientific, medical, or professional publication prior to presentation at the convocation. Additionally, it may not have been previously presented at another professional conference.

Case Presentations selected for podium presentations will be required to submit their PowerPoint presentation in mid-March 2023. Each accepted podium presentation will be approximately 12 minutes. Time allotment for podium presentation is subject to change. The primary author will be notified in late February of the Review Committee's decision on format if submission is selected to be presented at this year's conference. Any additional instructions for PowerPoint presentations and poster presentations will be given at that time. The Review Committee reserves the right to reject case submissions that are not relevant to our conference or do not conform to requested guidelines.

Note: monetary awards for podium and poster presentation winners will only be given to students, residents, and fellows. Attendings are still welcome and encouraged to submit for presentation.
