In an effort to be able to provide avalanche education to as many people as possible, we have realized that having people sign up in advance for courses is helpful. We have four more field days coming up this season:
Saturday, January 7-now on waitlist
Sunday, January 8-now on waitlist
Sunday, January 15 (Motorized Class)
Sunday, January 22-full
Sunday, March 5
Please sign up for your preferred date. If the date that you would like is full, please email Annie at education@sawtoothavalanche.com to be placed on a waitlist.
The suggested donation for the field day course is $40.
Donations can be made by clicking the donate button on sawtoothavalanche.com or Venmo @sawtooth-avalanche. Please add a note to the donation that it’s the suggested donation for the field day.
More information regarding the course will be sent out in the week prior to the course. Participants will need to be ready to spend the day in an outdoor winter environment and will also need a way to travel over snow (snowshoes, backcountry skis, splitboard...)
Please note that it is a requirement to attend one of our Introduction to Avalanches lectures prior to taking a course. If you cannot make one of the in-person lectures, please contact Annie at education@sawtoothavalanche.com for a pre-recorded version.
