OUR MISSION 

Sudbury Women’s Center is a central access point for women of all cultures to access ressources and services that remove barriers and promote self-esteem.

Expectations of a Board Member / Attentes à l’égard des membres du Conseil

1. Meetings and Time Commitment / Réunions et engagement en temps:

Attend regular monthly Board meetings (at least ten times per year) Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month / Participer aux réunions ordinaires mensuelles du Conseil (au moins 10 par année). Les réunions ont lieu le troisieme lundi du mois.

Attend any special meetings of the Board called by the Board, / Participer aux réunions extraordinaires convoquées par le Conseil,

Attend the Annual General Meeting / Participer à l’assemblée générale annuelle

Prepare and participate in Board discussions and decision making. Respect and support majority decisions of the Board / Préparer les échanges et les prises de décisions au Conseil, et y participer. Respecter et appuyer les décisions majoritaires prises au Conseil.

2. Committees/ Comités:

Become a member of at least one standing committee of the Board / Siéger à au moins un comité permanent du Conseil

3. Term of Office /Mandat

A Director shall be elected for a two year term. / Les membres du Conseil d’administration sont élues pour un mandat de deux ans.

A Director may be re-elected at the end of her first term for one additional term. No Director shall serve more than six consecutive years. / Elles peuvent être réélues à la fin de leur premier mandat pour un autre. Aucune d’entre elles ne peut siéger pendant plus de six années consécutives.

A Director who has served the maximum period of consecutive service is eligible for re-election after having remained out of service as a Director for at least one full year. / Les personnes ayant été membres du Conseil pendant le maximum d’années consécutives permis peuvent le faire de nouveau après une période d’au moins un an durant laquelle elles n’y ont pas siégé.

4. Confidentiality Agreement/ Entente de confidentialité:

Annually, Board members are required to review and, sign a confidentiality agreement. / Chaque année, les membres du Conseil doivent lire et signer une entente de confidentialité.
