Our organization is blessed to have such committed mentors, so we want to make sure we have incoming mentors who are willing to make the most of the program. Please apply if you are interested in becoming a mentor for the MD Mentor-Mentee program for 2020-2021. This program strives to connect underclassmen with upperclassmen of similar major interests so that they can seek assistance in adjusting to the future healer expectations and UTD lifestyle. We want to make sure that both Mentees and Mentors take away as much as possible from this experience so please make sure that you have enough time to put into this program, thank you!

Expectations:
Be able to be in contact a minimum of once a week.
Be respectful of each others time (Respond to each other in a promptly matter)
Mentees should be able to leave this experience with new and valuable information to better prepare for their pre-med journey
Mentors should be able to provide guidance and valuable information to their mentee (You might also learn something new!)

In order to appropriately pair students, we will consider classification and major along with other potential areas of interest such as research, shadowing, scribing, volunteer experience, and more. We also would like to continue to hold events for our Mentors and Mentees to better socialize with each other. Due to current circumstances, we are still figuring out what type of socials to hold online. If you have any suggestions please let us know!
