Emergency Medical Services Intern Application
The Mayoral Internship Program is designed to provide students with a passion for public service and community engagement with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience that benefits their future career development. Interns are placed in various departments depending on student interest and departmental needs. Students with a passion for healthcare, emergency management, and/or medicine have the opportunity to work within the EMS Department for the Town.

This internship is an eight-week unpaid internship. Interns are required to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week and to be available to work the duration of the internship period.

Qualifications
Potential applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a current high school student who has completed at least their sophomore year by June 2021.
- Students must be residents of Cumberland, RI.
-Students should possess an interest in the emergency management, public safety, and/or medical fields.
- Students should be eager, curious, and flexible.
- Students must be able to exercise good judgement.
- Students must submit a completed application by 2pm on May 17th. Late submissions will NOT be accepted under any circumstances.
