Green Gathering Artists’ Application Conditions & Guidelines – 2024
Your application form, and agreeing to these Conditions & Guidelines, are the basis for negotiating your contract, so please ask for what you need now- meeting additional requests later may not be possible.
Whilst the bottom line is about the quality of your performance, please bear in mind if you are offered a place in GG 2024 a contributing factor will be the number of onsite/live-in vehicle passes, expenses and guest tickets you ask for.
Vehicle movement onsite is limited- you will not be able to drive into the festival site unless agreed in advance, the default access is via the Main Car Park and our Shuttle Bus service (unless parking in the Artists' Live-in Area). If you need to drive onto site to deliver heavy equipment please make that clear in comms :) Please note access to the site is up a steep rough single track. There is a limit of one vehicle pass per two performers and a limit of one live-in per band/group.
You can ask for guest tickets, to a maximum of one guest per performer. Guest vehicle passes are not provided by Ents. (But we can provide a discount code!)
Egress on Monday- please note due to the nature of our site vehicle movement on Monday is strictly controlled. Early morning entry to site is possible pre 8:30AM, after which it is Egress only until at least 3pm. Please expect egress to take time! We have great systems and a great team but can only do so much with single track access! If in doubt, talk to us.
We have a very safe and functional lock-up system plus an efficient equipment transport service. You will not be allowed to use your own vehicle to transport your equipment onsite.
Please don't bring your dog/s. There are no dog tickets available for artist allocation. 'Public' dog tickets are available from The Ticket Shop on our website, but are in very short supply. Any unticketed dogs belonging to you or your guests will mean you will not be invited back.
Set-up time: Bands on our main stages usually get 30 minutes to set up, less if your set up is very simple. Please arrive at the venue 45 minutes before your set. If you are late or slow setting up, your gig time will be cut to fit. Switch-over times in Raconteurs vary depending on the act, with the default being 5-10 minutes, please communicate if you need longer!
Amps: Our stages are solar- and wind-powered. There is not an infinite amount of power. Only very low-powered amps without valves can be accommodated by your venue. You must show/declare these to the venue's stage manager. Your amp will be veto'd if it's too power-hungry or if poor weather means there's not enough power available. You will always be able to plug your electric directly into the desk, which we appreciate may not replicate the exact sound you know-and-love, but is part of being off-grid and saving the planet.
Artists are welcome onsite from 2pm on Wednesday 2nd August: You will not be able (and should not try) to get onsite before this (see ‘Dogs’, above)
