Following the outbreak of war in Ukraine, we have seen a number of groups stepping up to help, predominantley with the refugee crisis and the welcoming of refugees to families in Derbyshire.
- Derbyshire County Council (DCC) has stated that so far, around 100 Derbyshire households have been accepted to open up their home to host Ukrainian refugees under the Government’s 'Homes for Ukraine’ scheme and will send out information to all registered hosts.
- Aim to establish ‘drop in’ sessions across the county at key places across the county, on a weekly basis
We would like to gather initial information as to which groups intend to help with the efforts so we can help collaborate ideas and plans going forward.
We will email all given emails with any updates we have surrounding Ukraine support going forward.
