Important: This survey and application asks for information and specific details that we consider necessary for fair consideration of your participation application with Entheos @ Burning Man. Incomplete applications will not advance to consideration without correction. Every participant must complete a new Participant Survey and Camp Participation Application annually to continue participating with Entheos @ Burning Man.
Please review our website www.entheosrising.org before completing this application. It contains essential information summarizing the theme, ethos, and interactivity offered by Entheos, which we believe to be the most important details for you to know.
The Entheos Community Village, is a diverse and vibrant placed theme camp at Burning Man which now anchors an official HUBS (Humans Uniting for Better Sustainability) collaboration with other placed camps. The HUBS model is replacing the Village model over the 2024/25 Burning Man cycle to better establish direct ties between individual camps and BMOrg Placement staff. With over 250 participants from 43 countries, Entheos participants voluntarily and collectively create extensive, large-scale, 24/7 interactivity and art installations as a gift to share with the citizens of Black Rock City and beyond.
The Entheos Community Village is also joined by:
)'( - The Combat Zone - a placed theme camp in good standing that serves Dan Dan noodles at 4am, and
)'( - The Cuddlepillar - a mutant vehicle in good standing that is inclusive to all.
)'( - Welcoming Partners - Entheos welcomes proposals from camps in good standing to collaborate.
Entheos @ Burning Man is a project of the Entheos Community, led by the Entheos @ Burning Man Advisory Board and overseen by the Entheos Community Board of Directors. Entheos is a not for profit project that is funded by its members, participants, and donors via financial contributions through the Givsum Foundation, our 501c3 Fiscal Sponsor, and contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. Annually, Entheos participants volunteer over 10,000 hours and contribute over $300k to fund interactivity, support camp operations, and most importantly gift 24/7 interactivity to thousands of Black Rock City residents and now currently two Regional Burning Man events (Love Burn near Miami, FL and unSCruz near Santa Cruz, CA).
Part of the mission of Entheos @ Burning Man is to level the playing field for people traveling internationally to Black Rock City and to lower the carbon footprint of their participation. Entheos Community Village collectively organizes through Communal Effort several of the core elements of surviving in the desert in order to reduce waste and the number of cars coming to Black Rock City. As a community we organize healthy meals, potable water, shade for tents, power for tents and RVs, showers, and a tent storage program. Participants here should clearly read: we are not providing and doing these things for you as a service, we are collectively and efficiently providing and doing these things, as a camp, for our mutual benefit, as a camp, through consensual agreement. Over the years we have observed that people coming internationally will often, by survival necessity, rent a car and then drive to a big box store to purchase food, water, bikes, tents, shade, and supplies, most or all of which is discarded at the end of Burning Man. The resources that Entheos organizes through Communal Effort make it possible for people to travel to Burning Man in a significantly more sustainable way.
Our Radical Self-expression at Entheos dares to dream big, work hard, have fun, and thrive in a challenging environment in order to create magical experiences and share them with others. If this resonates with you we welcome your application to participate with us in our collective mission.
