GSO Ocean Classroom is an education and outreach extension of the Graduate School of Oceanography (GSO) that brings current and relevant ocean science research to K-12 and public audiences. Ocean experts present programs in schools, virtually, outdoors at field locations and here on the URI Narragansett Bay Campus.

Complete this form if you are interested in a field trip, interpretive program or a campus visit. You will hear from a GSO Public Engagement team member within two business days of completing this form. Note, by completing this form the program is not booked.

Marine Geological Samples Laboratory (MGSL is a library of thousands of sediment cores and rocks)

Research Aquarium (learn about the marine life of Narragansett Bay, featuring fish, a lobster display, and a shellfish and starfish touch tank.)

RV Endeavor (limited dates available to tour the research vessel and meet the people who work on board)

RI Nuclear Science Center (a brief presentation on how a nuclear reactor works, how the safety system works, and how it can be used, followed by a tour of the operating reactor and control room)
