Emporia Public Schools, Transfer of Attendance Center Request
If a parent desires his/her child to attend an attendance center other than the attendance center in which the family resides, board policy requires a transfer request may be SUBMITTED BY JULY 1 FOR THE UPCOMING SCHOOL YEAR to the office of Student and Family Resources at Mary Herbert Education Center.
With the approval of the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, late requests may be considered from families who move into the district after July 1.
All requests are considered on an individual student basis and, if approved, will be granted for the entire time the student is in elementary school. In some instances, a final determination may not be made until after enrollment due to class sizes. Transportation WILL NOT be provided for students who attend a school outside the neighborhood attendance center.
