Minimum requirements: Forsyth County high school student with a min 3.5 GPA currently enrolled in honors/advanced classes (AP or college-credit courses are a plus) or college student, have basic knowledge of Canvas and Zoom, have use of a personal computer, available to tutor virtually or in-person near your home a min of 45 mins/1 day a week after school or on Saturday. Must be responsible, organized, and personable. We require a letter of recommendation (affirming both good character and grades) from a core subject teacher. You can wait to request that until we reach out to you. Our ViP training, along with other required supplemental briefings and WFU training, will earn you your first two volunteer hours with us. Please note that you will be asked to pay $10 towards your ViP uniform t-shirt. (If the cost is a problem for you, please let us know and we will cover it). If you can meet these requirements, please continue to answer the questions below and submit. Thank you!
Being a part of our team means that we represent the organizations in which we partner (Wake Forest University OCCE, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Crosby Scholars, WSFCS, and many more). Although it comes with responsibility, we hope you find the experience as beneficial and rewarding as those on our team have! Please use this link below to view our documents page and read over the ViP Tutor Code of Conduct if you have not already done so before submitting this form.
First, you have the option of starting this semester or starting at the beginning of next school year (2023-2024). Please check here which you'd prefer.
