CERT SAR Team
We are looking to put together a CERT SAR Team that will be made up of CERT members who take specialty training from a certifying agency and who become certified Search and Rescue assets. These team members would be in charge of the CERT efforts during a search and rescue or evidence gathering deployment for any agency or jurisdiction. This team will maintain it's identity as a part of the Galveston County CERT group.
There may be expenses incurred in completing some of the certifying trainings, and this cost will have to be covered by the member. GC CERT will try at all times to reduce the cost of the trainings either through negotiating the cost with the certifying agency or by hosting the training classes or hiring the instructors.
