Thomas McGowan: Hello, my name is Thomas McGowan. I have been swimming for about 9 years, and I have had the opportunity to swim for Colonial Forge for the past three years now. I have had the ability to grow as a swimmer and as a teammate since my freshman year, and I have learned a lot from the past leaders on the team about the importance of team spirit and good sportsmanship. Just this past year, despite being a captain, I worked closely with the team captains to help the organization of team cheers, as well as the support of my fellow teammates during meets; if I wasn't swimming in a race, I would be on the side of the pool cheering for every Forge cap in the water. I have always done my best to uphold the reputation of good sportsmanship and teamwork that Colonial Forge prides itself on. It would be an honor to represent Colonial Forge as a team captain in my final year, and I hope to make sure that this shortened swim season is just as fun and competitive as any other.
