I am delighted that you are considering attending the 2024 Belly of the Whale Spiritual Renewal Retreat at the Jesuit Retreat Center in Cleveland, Ohio! Amidst this stormy season of life, these 3 days & 3 nights of rest and renewal "in the belly of the whale" will be a balm to your weary soul.
Your retreat experience will include 3 nights of sacred sleep in your own room (with shared, hallway bathrooms), 8 meals, pre-retreat resources, retreat leadership & handouts, individual spiritual direction (30 minute session), ample time for sacred silence, access to an indoor labyrinth and abundant creative prayer resources that will be available throughout the retreat.
The beautiful woods and facilities of the Jesuit Retreat Center of Cleveland, Ohio (
www.jesuitretreatcenter.org) will be the holy ground upon which we gather. It is located less than 8 miles from the Cleveland airport which makes it easily accessible whether you are coming from near or far.
We will gather on Sunday, July 7 at 4:30 pm (check in will be between 3:00 and 4:00 pm) and we will conclude our time together by noon on Wednesday, July 10, 2023.

The early bird rate is $649 and must be paid in full prior to March 7 (

- COMMUTER - Although spending three full days and nights in sacred silence is a tremendous gift, I understand that there may be circumstances that make it challenging to be away from home overnight. Join us just for the days/evenings and sleep in your own bed overnight. The cost is only $369 for everything that the residential participants will receive except for an overnight room and breakfast. All lunches, dinners and full access the facility, grounds and abundant prayer resources are available.
- EXTENDED STAY - If you would like a deeper dive in to the sacred silence, you are able to come as many as two days before and/or stay two days after the official retreat. There will be nothing formally programmed during these days and you will be free to immerse yourself in the silence in whatever way the Spirit nudges you. The cost is only $125/night (single room and three meals included).
