CAPITOL ACADEMY 120 - STATE LEADERSHIP:  AN INSIDER’S VIEW
LEADERSHIP PROGRAM FOR API ELECTED & APPOINTED OFFICIALS

The Capitol Academy is an an intensive three-day leadership development program for AANHPI local elected and appointed officials interested in seeking higher office.

Launched in 2006, the Academy is designed to provide participants with insight into the inner workings of the state capitol’s network.  Participants will gain insight into the inner workings of the state capitol’s network. Participants will meet with senior political and policy experts in areas ranging from understanding the legislative and state budget process to learning effective communication and media skills.  

All sessions are small and provide ample interactive opportunities.  The Academy is offered in odd-numbered years. The 10th Academy will be held in Sacramento, CA, from October 29-31, 2021.

The program covers travel, lodging, and most meals for participants.

Applications are due Friday, October 1st. Up to 10-12 applicants will be selected to participate in the 2021 Capitol Academy.  Applicants will be notified in early October.
