Workshop Details:

SUMMARY:
This will be a small group workshop (BEGINNER LEVEL) with plenty of opportunities to ask questions. Be prepared for a hands on experience, where you will learn as we go, step-by-step. We will discuss fermentation science, food safety, modifications, and health benefits. We will enjoy a sampling of Twisted Carrot Farm ferments. All supplies will be provided!

WHAT YOU'LL TAKE HOME:
You will go home with your own ferment that you prepare yourself during the workshop. This includes a quart-sized mason jar, airlock lid, and a glass weight. You will be able to choose from a selection of raw vegetables to process for your ferment as well as herbs and spices for seasoning. Ingredients will be sourced from our farm and other local farms. We will also be sending everyone home with an 8oz fermented product from our menu to enjoy while you wait for yours to ferment at home!

AFTER CARE:
Before signing up, make sure that you will be able to provide the proper "after care" at home for your ferment following the workshop. You will need to keep a DAILY eye on your ferment for the duration of the fermentation process (minimum five days is recommended). You must be able to store your ferment between 65-75 degrees during that time. We will provide you with detailed instructions on how to finish up the fermentation process at home, and we will be available to answer questions and provide guidance as needed following the workshop.

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATIONS:
Once you are accepted into the workshop, we will send you an invoice, and you will have three days to submit your payment of $65. We will hold your spot during this three day window. Please make sure you will be able to attend before submitting payment, as we will not be issuing refunds or transfers for cancellations UNLESS we are able to fill your spot from the waitlist. You are also welcome to send someone in your place, if you run into any last minute issues. Please let us know ASAP if you need to cancel, and we will do our best to fill your spot.
