BUMC 'Joseph' Summer 2021 Information Form
One of this year's summer music outreach opportunities will be a production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.'
This show is open to all middle and high school students. Rehearsal and Performance Weeks will fall within the time frame of the typical Jubilation tour (late May and early June). Small group rehearsals will happen on Sunday afternoons beginning in mid-April and continuing through May.
Please fill this form out if you are interested in participating in any way. Audition Information for Principal Roles will be available soon. If you are interested in participating only in the ensemble and not having a "solo" acting or singing role, an audition will not be required.

The Narrators - these are storytellers who lead the show. There will be a few used in each song.
Joseph - the "favorite son" of Jacob who receives the multi-colored coat.
Jacob - Joseph's father, an older character with a few solo lines and lots of acting moments
One of Joseph's 11 brothers - Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Naphtali, Issachar, Asher, Dan, Zebulon, Gad, Benjamin, Judah
Potiphar - the captain of Pharaoh's guard. A rich Egyptian merchant
Mrs. Potiphar - The wife of Potiphar who tempts Joseph, resulting in his imprisonment
The Butler - Pharaoh's butler who serves time in prison with Joseph
The Baker - A local merchant who serves time in prison with Joseph
The Pharaoh - The ruler of Egypt, played as a satirical impersonation of Elvis
