New Volunteer Form

Clonmel Tidy Towns are a group of volunteers who are working together to bring Clonmel to be the best it can be.

Volunteers must be over the age of 18 to join Clonmel Tidy Towns. Gaisce President's Award students are welcome to join through their school (please mark the relevant box and ensure that your parent/guardian fills out this form on your behalf).

The name of the volunteer support contact for induction is Deirdre Murray.

Clonmel Tidy Towns will:

1) Provide the details of the person who is the volunteer's point of contact.

2 ) Induct the volunteer in the following:

a) Explain the values and aims of the project.
b) Health and Safety.
c) Accident reporting.
d) Any other relevant information.
e) Involve the volunteer in any relevant meetings or communications.

The volunteer will:

1) Have the right to be made welcome and to feel involved and valued.

2) Be expected to acquaint themselves with and work in accordance with all appropriate policies, guidelines and procedures which will be covered in the induction procedure.

3) Undertake only those tasks and responsibilities as arranged and agreed.

4) Respect confidentiality at all times.

5) Take responsibility for providing feedback and information to relevant team members.

6) Report all accidents, serious incidents or damage to property and equipment immediately.

Communication

Clonmel Tidy Towns has a WhatsApp group which is used to share information and updates on weekly activities and meeting points. We also use an app called Slack for sharing photos and updates on project work. We require that new volunteers join either WhatsApp or Slack to be notified about group meetings.

I have read and understood the volunteer policy and constitution and agree to register as a volunteer with Clonmel Tidy Towns.

I hereby give permission to Clonmel Tidy Towns to use images captured on social media, print media, as part of a public exhibition as well as part of the Supervalu Tidy Towns Competition. The images will also become part Clonmel Tidy Towns archive, stored on their web page. I acknowledge that Clonmel Tidy Towns has ownership of these images and can use them to promote themselves.

In submitting this form, both parties understand that this does not constitute a contract of employment and that there was no intention of forming such at the time of submission. Neither of us intend any employment relationship to be created either now or at any time in the future.

This agreement is binding in honour only, is not intended to be a legally binding contract between us and may be cancelled at any time at the discretion of either party.
